Top 3 vegetarian provinces: North Holland, Utrecht & South Holland
More and more Dutch people are interested in vegetarian meals and want to eat vegetarian more often. This is evident from an analysis of online data over the past five years, where the level of interest in vegetarian cuisine was analyzed. The data shows that North Hollanders searched for vegetarian dishes the most. The province of Utrecht is number two and South Holland earns third place.

Search for vegetarian restaurants +400%
Vegetarian food is increasingly becoming the new norm. The range of vegetarian products in the supermarket is growing and the range in the catering industry is also increasing. Over the past five years, it appears that more and more Dutch people are looking for a vegetarian restaurant. There was no less than a 400% increase in searches for 'vegetarian restaurant near me' compared to previous years. We also searched 550% more for 'what are we eating vegetarian today' over the past five years.
and -240% more searches for vegetarian food orders
Last year there were no fewer than 240% more searches for 'order vegetarian food' compared to the year before. Searches such as 'home delivery' and 'order food' only increased 22%. This shows that vegetarian food is popular. In addition, more food is being ordered online due to Corona.
