  • Take the steak strips out of the fridge and allow to reach room temperature.
  • Boil plenty of water in a pot or saucepan and crumble in the stock cube (see pantry for amount). 
  • Cook the noodles for 3 - 4 minutes until al dente, then drain and return to the pot.
  • In a small bowl, combine the tahini with the ponzu, water, honey, mayonnaise and half of the white wine vinegar.

  • Heat a drizzle of sunflower oil in a wok or deep frying pan over medium-high heat.
  • Meanwhile, crush or mince the garlic.
  • When the oil is nice and hot, fry the garlic for 1 minute.  Add the vegetables mix, and fry for 2 - 3 minutes. Half of the soy sauce a splash of water, cover with a lid, and fry for another 5 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat, drizzle with sunflower oil, and fry the steak strips for 4 minutes.

  • Cut the cucumber into crescents. Roughly chop the peanuts.
  • In a salad bowl, combine the rest of the white wine vinegar with the rest of the soy sauce and sambal*.
  • Transfer the cucumber and peanuts to the salad bowl and toss everything together. Season to taste with salad and pepper.
  • Add the sauce to the drained noodles and stir in the sauce. Heat for another minute.

*Take care, this ingredient is spicy! Use as preferred.

  • Serve the noodles and vegetables on deep plates.
  • Top with the beef strips.
  • Serve with the cucumber salad.
