Cooking Steps

Make the croissants
1
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Open the tin of croissant dough and cut out six triangles, cutting along the lines.
  • Top the dough with the ham and the grated gruyère.
  • Roll up the croissants, transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 10 - 15 minutes.
Prepare the French toast
2
  • Cut the sugar bread into 2cm thick slices.
  • In a deep plate, whisk together the milk, 2 eggs, 1/2 sachet of cinnamon and a pinch of salt.
Fry the French toast
3
  • Heat 1 tbsp sunflower oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  • Dip the slices of sugar bread in the egg mixture, then fry for about 3 minutes on each side, or until they start to firm up.
Boil the eggs
4
  • Bring water to a boil in a saucepan for the rest of the eggs. Make sure there's enough water to fully submerge the eggs.
  • Once the water is boiling, carefully put the eggs in the pan one at a time.
  • Boil the eggs for 6 - 8 minutes, depending on whether you prefer soft- or hard-boiled eggs (6 minutes for soft, 8 for hard).
Make the yogurt bowls
5
  • Juice the oranges.
  • Serve the yogurt in deep bowls.
  • Cut the tops off the strawberries and slice them up.
  • Top the yogurt with the granola.
  • Decorate the yogurt by arranging the blueberries and strawberries in the shape of a heart (see Tip).

Tip: if you have any fruit left over, feel free to serve the rest to the side!

Serve
6
  • Serve the yogurt, boiled eggs and fresh orange juice on the table.
  • Serve the croissants on a serving dish.
  • Serve the French toast on plates and top with the mascarpone and raspberries.

Happy Mother's Day!
