Cooking Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C. 
  • Slice the onion into half rings.

  • Melt the butter in a frying pan over medium-high heat and fry the sausages for 2 - 3 minutes until evenly browned. 
  • Add the onion, then cover with the lid and fry for 8 - 10 minutes, turning regularly.
  • Meanwhile, bake the demi baguettes in the oven for 8 - 10 minutes.

  • Remove the sausages from the pan and set aside, then deglaze with the water (see pantry for amount).
  • Stir in the ketchup and the honey, along with half of the curry powder.
  • Mix well and season to taste with salt and pepper. 
  • Allow the sauce to simmer gently for 2 - 3 minutes.

  • Cut open the demi baguettes and fill with the sauerkraut and the sausages.
  • Top with the sauce.
  • Sprinkle over the rest of the curry powder as preferred.
